ABN Capital Advisory ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Business and contact details (business name, ABN, contact name, email, phone)

  • Information provided via our website enquiry/quote form

  • Customer due diligence (CDD) information provided by our real estate agency clients on their behalf, including identity verification data, source-of-funds information, and related documentation, for the purposes of AML/CTF compliance

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Prepare quotes and Engagement Letters

  • Provide AML/CTF compliance services to our real estate agency clients, including customer due diligence, risk assessment, and AUSTRAC reporting where authorised

  • Meet our own legal and regulatory obligations, including under the AML/CTF Act 2006

  • Communicate with you about our services

Disclosure

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information to:

  • AUSTRAC, where required or authorised by law (e.g. suspicious matter reports, threshold transaction reports)

  • Our real estate agency clients, in relation to the specific transaction or file the information relates to

  • Trusted service providers who support our operations (e.g. SharePoint, Xero), under confidentiality obligations

Storage & Security

Personal information is stored securely using access-controlled systems (including SharePoint) and retained for the periods required under AML/CTF law — generally at least 7 years from the end of the relevant transaction or business relationship.

You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you by contacting us at compliance@abncapital.com.au.

If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal information, please contact us in the first instance. If unresolved, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
